| SCRAP was one of eleven companies from the Portland metropolitan region recognized at the 14th Annual BEST Awards Breakfast on April 20, 2006. The City of Portland Office of Sustainable Development presents the BEST Awards annually to businesses demonstrating an extraordinary commitment to sustainability.  This distinction is bestowed upon Portland area businesses that do an outstanding job of reducing waste, buying recycled products and recycling. ("Blueworks" became "Recycleworks" in 2007)
